2013 Reading Challenge

So here it is... another year. Last year, 2012, I read 35 books over the coarse of the year. A lot of that time was a wash in the reading department due to multiple issues, some happy, some not so much. 2012 was a hard year for my family. I'm hoping 2013 is a better year.

I have a couple distractions from 2012 that are, fortunately, happy ones. I'll continue to teach college part time - a job I love - and I'll continue to work for the literary agent Sheree Bykofsky. (Of course there is my full time job as well - the one that keeps the roof over our heads. Fortunately I like my job.)

So, here goes.... I've challenged myself to read a modest number of books - 40 books over the course of 2013, though I will try to read more than 40 books.

UPDATE: after a family emergency, I see that I will not reach my 40 book goal. I have read 37 books as of 12/22/13. Am still going to try.
