This is just a very short post to say hello and introduce myself. I am a registered nurse working full time and pursuing a masters in writing. I didn't set out to pursue the masters to learn to write - I already have more than a clue on that - I want to teach writing. The masters will help to refine my writing and help me toward my goal of teaching.
I have completed one novel and am in the second draft phase right now. Unfortunately, school, family and work do have a major impact on the amount of time that I can devote to writing (not so much the family though, they are very understanding of the time it takes). I see life in semesters now - I will be finished with school in three semesters and hope to see my novel in the hands of an agent by then also.
Wish me luck!

You've written a novel? And that's never been brought up in class? I'd like to read it someday.
Hello Sir Alfonze McHrebin the 3rd! Thanks for commenting on my blog.
Yes, I wrote a novel. It just never seemed like it fit very well within the context of the class. There are a small number of academics who know I wrote a novel. Unfortunately in the excruciating 2nd draft phase, but almost done.
