Last to Die by Tess Gerritsen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Even though I am a long-time fan of the series on TNT, this was my first Rizzoli & Isles book. It made me want to read all the books in the series.
Someone at work told me that the books were completely different from the series (another long-time fan of the TV series). I would agree, with one exception, Jane is just as sarcastic in the books as in the TV series.
I can't say much about the plot without giving away too much. The book opens with people being murdered and kids being rescued by a blonde woman and being whisked off somewhere. That is only the beginning. The plot is far more twisted and complicated than most writers can dream up.
I sat down to read and promised myself that I would read for an hour, then get some paperwork done. Well, let's just say, the paperwork didn't get done. I could not stop reading until I turned the last page.
