The Reading Writer

Most people know that most writers grew up to be voracious readers. I'm no different. Also, most writers know that reading is of paramount importance to the creative process. Stephen King said in his book On Writing (a book I highly recommend) that if you don't have time to read then you don't have time to write.

In light of my history of reading and a few challenges that have been created for 2011, I've joined 2.

1. 2011 Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge - I committed to read 100 books in 2011
2. 2011 Young Adult Reading Challenge - I committed to read 20 YA & children's books in 2011
