First, let me say, I love this carpet cleaner. I have two dogs and they make mistakes, that coupled with a cat who throws up, and you have a messy carpet. This shampooer does a beautiful job cleaning up the worst messes that have soaked into the carpet. We do a quick surface clean, then thoroughly vacuum, then use this shampooer. Still, there is some carpet fiber and dog hair that is unearthed by the shampooer, a testament to how deeply it cleans.
As you'll see in the pictures, the head pulls in those carpet fibers and hair, though most ball up on the carpet for removal later. The head comes off for cleaning; however, as you can see in the first picture it, the head gets pretty full of debris. The fatal flaw here it that you cannot open the top to remove the hair/debris. You can see in the second picture that I got a lot out with a pipe cleaner and a very slim tool I have. As soon as you hit the curve you're done. (If anyone knows how to take this apart to clean, please let me know.) Unfortunately, while it is superior in it's ability to clean pet messes up from the carpet, the shampooer is impossible to fully clean afterward.

I wear a fit bit and the band I had finally wore out. I
bought this set of bands so that I could interchange bands.
First one of the pluses. It was very easy to insert the fit
bit without too much of a struggle - since it is open on both sides everything
is easier, including changing the battery. My old fit bit band was closed on
the back, so when it was battery changing time I would have to pry the little
thing out of the band, then pry the band opening a little so that I could get
the thing back in there. This band made it so easy since the back is open - no
more prying the fit bit out, just a quick battery change and your back in
business.
Major problem: it's nearly impossible to secure the band
since the end of the prongs is wider. It literally takes two of us (my husband
and I) to get the prongs to go down into the holes all the way. I even took a
screw driver to the holes to loosen them up to no avail. The plastic band is
beautiful, but too rigid to conform to the prongs. Since I like to wear mine a
little loose, I put it on backwards and after several minutes of struggling I
can get it on well enough to stay on. I think if the plastic was just a little
softer, it would go on easier. Now I'm just about ready to jump in the shower
and hate that I will have to struggle, yet again to put it on when I get out.

This book is the fourth and final installment in the Nikki and Michael series. Keri Arthur never missed a beat or made a misstep with these characters (easy to do when you're such a prolific author). In this final installment of this series, Nikki and Michael end up in a town in an old historic town, sealed in and unable to use any of their skills. They need to outsmart an evil that holds all the cards. Arthur manages to keep the tension high. Given that this was the final book anything could happen. I don't want to say more, as I don't want to spoil this book for anyone. Totally fabulous book, now I'm off to read the circle books. Can't get enough Keri Arthur.
I tend to use a lot of different products and write my observations in a notebook (the Reviewer's Diary - literally). Below is a video I produced for my YouTube channel. See also, my separate comments typed at the bottom.
Here are the products I reviewed:
Clear Scalp & Beauty, Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner, and Brilliant Glossing Styling Cream, CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, Thayers Alcohol-free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera (also contains vitamin E), Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster and Restoration Serum with Vitamin C, E, and Hyaluronic Acid, Paula's Choice Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer with Retinol, Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 30 Age Smart, Lancome Regenerie Lift Multi-Action Lifting and Firming Cream, Crabtree & Evelyn La Source body wash and lotion, Klorane Shampoo with desert date

Product comments:
Clear Scalp & Beauty Therapy – made my hair super soft and silky to
the touch. My dry scalp didn’t feel itchy and dry anymore after using this
product.
Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner, and Brilliant
Glossing Styling Cream (this is the only one of the three that I liked - the 2
oz size that I received goes for $7.99 at CVS - pricey for 2 oz)
CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion - contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid -
those ingredients are the reason the wrinkles on my hands completely
disappeared. Around $10 on Amazon, or about $13 at CVS.
Thayers Alcohol-free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera (also
contains vitamin E) - I found this on Amazon for a little over $8. Feels great
and cleanses well. I love this stuff!
Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster and Restoration Serum with Vitamin C,
E, and Hyaluronic Acid - organic and cruelty free - costs about $48 on the
Palmetto Derma website, but sometimes they have sales and sometimes you can
find it a little cheaper on Amazon. This is so good, I can't live without it.
Paula's Choice Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer with Retinol - another
product I can't live without. I bought mine through the Birchbox website, but
this can also be purchased on the Paula's Choice website - price for 1.7 oz is
around $30, Note: with the cold winter days, I add Pur-lisse with SPF as a last
step.
Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 30 Age Smart - $65 on both Amazon
and the Ulta website. I'm not a fan.
Lancome Regenerie Lift Multi-Action Lifting and Firming Cream, SPF 15 -
I got this deluxe sample size that lasted me quite a while as part of a free
with a purchase program with Lancome. It retails for 1.7 oz $95. It’s a good
thing that I didn’t fall in love with it.
Crabtree & Evelyn La Source body wash and lotion - prices on this
vary wildly from website to website. Amazon and my local shop have a similar
price - between $17 - $20 each. Mom loves this stuff, so I buy it for her at
least once a year.
Klorane Shampooig au dattier du desert (Shampoo with desert date) -
yup, that's what it says on the bottle. It got this full size, 6.7 oz bottle in
my October Blush Beauty box. Around $15 dollars on Amazon and Blush
(Dermstore.com). I'm not in love.
BzzAgent recently sent me free samples of Paula's Choice Resist C15 Super Booster, to try and review. These tiny vials of oil are supposed to help with wrinkles and dark spots, among other benefits. I had very high hopes for the oil and was rewarded with one positive benefit, but not the other.
I have not seen any difference in my wrinkles. I'll continue to use this until the last drop is gone and hope that eventually I'll see a change. What did happen, and it made it worth using this product, is some dark spots and discolorations did fade. Some faded so much that I had difficulty finding them again.
I have only one reservation about purchasing this product - price. There are other serums with the same ingredients at a much lower price. This normally retails for $48, but is currently on sale at the Paula's Choice website. There are other brands that are price between $25-30.
Below is a YouTube video where I review this product along with quite a few others:
I just can't say enough good things about this coconut oil. Such great
stuff!
Here are of few of the ways I use this coconut oil:At the end of the day, just before bed, I use
about a half teaspoon (which melts in your hand) to massage into my face and
eye area and it completely removes all traces of makeup and leaves my skin
super soft. I use a little Thayer Witch Hazel Toner, then moisturize as usual.
The beauty of this use is that it works so completely, without the assistance
of dyes or perfumes that may cleaners and makeup removes contain. I also made a
sugar scrub with it. I took one cup of the coconut oil and microwaved it for 10
seconds, then stirred until it was completely liquid. Then I mixed in two cups
of sugar. I used the scrub on my face and body and it leaves your smooth and
soft. Finally, I use it one other way - as an additive when I make melt and
pour soap. It gives the soap a very light coconut scent and makes it so much
more moisturizing.
This is lovely stuff and I think I'll be using forever!
I've been drawing, painting, and writing all my life, so these markers
appealed to me immediately. Yes, you can use these to create a masterpiece like
the one on the cover of the tin. I've been using my markers in a completely
different way - I use them in my 2014-2015 planner. Yes, I bought a spiral
planner that is very plain on the inside, at least until I started decorating
it. Rather than buying an expensive planner I opted to buy a $7.99 planner at
CVS. I decorated that planner with stickers tape, and using these lovely
markers, and every weekend I decorate the upcoming weekly page. These markers
write so beautifully and the colors are so stunning. Yes, you can use them to
create a masterpiece, or you can use them the way I have for daily and weekly use.
These will not collect dust in my home like so many of my other art supplies
have.
A couple important points: these are a wide range of colors, the tin
give you ideas with regard to using them for art, and the tips are super
durable. I worried that they would wear down the way so many felt tip markers
do, but they stood the clumsy capping test - I looked up at the TV while
capping one of the markers and ended up pushing the tip, hard, into the palm of
my hand. No I wasn't hurt, but I worried that I may have ruined the marker. It
survived! The same marker, one of my favorite colors, is perfectly fine and
didn't get smashed. The tips are super durable and passed my clumsiness test.
This is a great set of markers!
Well, I did manage to create a document for use in the desk size planner and/or A5 Filifax. What I've created is the basic to do list fo...

I have completed a 3rd draft of my first novel and having fallen flat on my face with the query process with a net result of 14 rejections (one very kind, personal one, while the others were form letters). 6 agents didn't answer my query - at this point I'll take that as a no.
I've started a complete rewrite of my finished novel. I have another idea and have started crafting a YA novel, now also a work in progress.
