Nail Polish Declutter ~ January 2017 ~ started with 103 nail polishes | Reviewer's Diary

Welcome to my nail polish declutter. This is LONG, so if you don’t like long videos, please watch something else. I had way too much polish, so much so that I couldn’t fit another nail polish in the rack, even with everything sideways in the rack. Though it’s tough to part with the polishes I decluttered, my daughter and her friend were thrilled to get them.

Borghese, Spoiled, Neutrogena, Roc.... oh my

I finally tried the last item from my May 2014 Sample Society box... just in time for the next box to get shipped.

The Borghese sample was smaller than it appeared. It had a false bottom, so only the top portion held the product sample, while the base was just an empty space. This is a mistake by Borghese. If I had a more substantial sample, I may have considered buying the full size product, but I only had enough to try it once.

I also talk about nail polish and a new Neutrogena product in the following video:

Unfortunately the Neutrogena wash and toner were not a hit and I actually ended up with a couple small pimples. Sorry about the video quality of the short video below, but here goes...

Review - Pure Ice & Sally Hansen Nail Polishes

So I picked up a really cool pink polish from Walmart - their own polish line, Pure Ice. After wearing the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips and struggling too remove them, this polish was a pleasant departure from the wild nails I had been sporting for 9 days. More about the nail polish strips later.

This Pure Ice nail polish stroked on very smoothly and it took just two coats to complete my manicure:

The the color looks static, it is really very dimensional, and quite beautiful. I hope the manicure lasts for a week.

Prior to applying this polish, I had quite a struggle getting the Sally Hansen Salon Effects polish strips off. First, I really loved them because there was no odor, like there is with a traditional polish. Also, they stayed bright and flawless through nine days of washing dishes and working, without a single chip or discoloration. Though I took them off on day nine to try the Pure Ice polish, these nails could have lasted much longer.

Both polishes are super nice (can't quite take my eyes off this dazzling pink that I'm now wearing).
